Tarot and Oracle Readings with other Spiritual Matters by Barb Ward

Raccoons symbolize playfulness, courage, generosity, intelligence and adaptability. Some consider raccoons a good luck omen/ charm.

I’ve recently discovered a hole in my Spiritual practice that needed filling. I’ve always been closely connected to angels and communicate with them on the daily yet I have not worked with them recently in readings. I decided to start working with Kyle Gray’s teachings and his decks. The deck that I used today is his Keepers of the Light Oracle cards. So it begins.

I’m doing a simple two card reading for today. My focus is on my overall health and some minor issues that have developed.

Left card: represents me, where I am, my greatest strength and what I already have.

The Holy Spirit- Expect Miracles

” Remember that only love is real. Miracles will occur naturally. Spirit has your back.”

Right Card: represents what I need to know, what I need to do to tap into my strength.

Melchizedek- Higher Learning

” You have learned from your experience. More inner study is required to further progress.”

I take this as an excellent sign. I have faith in Spirit and spirit has my back. Miracles stem from love. I can and will strengthen Spirit by more study into the Higher Realm and how that can help me. Working with this deck will be an excellent start to doing so.

So it is.

While doing several readings this morning, the Bear showed up in the cards. As I know, all things are signs so I regard this as well.

This morning I was curious. I wanted to know why I don’t attract attention on the things that I put out in the world- my spiritual content and my creative content. Why do I bother when rarely anyone cares? Do I keep on going or should I just close up shop? I guess you can say that I’m whining but I get so frustrated. That’s usually when I say ” Screw that” and I continue on. I decided to do a tarot reading today using The Good Tarot by Colette Baron-Reid.
If I can get any inspiration to feed my soul, this deck will do that. I actually got a beautiful response to the question? Why is nobody paying attention and how shall I continue on? Here it goes.

1. Works position- Pertains to things that you accomplish in a day

Patience- Moderation

This card reminds me that patience will bring me into recognition of and alignment to my purpose. All my needs are met even though I may not see it yet in the outside, physical world. The angels are looking out for me. Moderation in all things are required.

Dreaming and introspection. Contemplation. Trusting in the abundance of opportunities.

I may not see the workings of Spirit in the invisible realms but I know there is great activity “behind the scenes”. It is important to trust the mystery and remember the material realm is an illusion

I am being called to shift my perspective on my life right now. When I remember that first and foremost an immortal soul, experiencing life as a human being I have no fear. I am a powerful co-creator in a divine partnership with Spirit. Aligning myself with Spirit, remaining unattached to outcomes. I am a conduit of miracle.

I have everything I need right now to move forward with purpose. I am being called into a deeper and more authentic relationship with myself, with my Higher Power and with others. I am here for a reason.

I had some fun researching the goat yesterday. This is what I learned. In many ceremonies, a goat has be used as a symbol of sacrifice. A goat has also beene used in many myths and legends and it is considered a symbol of vitality, sensuality and (robust) health. Actually the man goat symbolizes virility and the female goat was used as a symbol of abundance and reproduction.

There are so many symbolic meanings of the goat because it is used as a spirit animal since ancient times. You may have heard of Pan who is the the god of the wild in Greek mythology. This god was half man and half goat and he was a symbol of bravery, intoxication ( luring with his reed pipe) and power.

In most cases, goat symbolism is letting you know that is time to begin new climbs and new endeavors. Look closely in what is ahead so you can be surefooted along your course. Goat is letting you know that it is time to stretch yourself: therefore, reach for new and higher goals.

I watched a couple of my favorite tarot reader’s videos this morning and there was a sense of dread and anxiety. It got me thinking but, most importantly ,tuning into my intuition and higher power spirit. The rest of this post will be directed by spirit. I am it’s channel.

You have to be careful when reading for/ on someone. Are you bringing too much of your personal feelings into the reading? It will give you a whole different take on things and not necessarily what spirit is trying to tell you. That’s not so easy to do.

When doing a reading, the reader must clear their mind, tune into spirit and go with the flow of the direction that spirit is taking you. You cannot dictate the terms or how you want the outcome to be.

Tarot is fickle and flexible. It goes through many turns and twists. It reads the shifts of energy and vibration so one day the reading may tell us one thing and the next day another on the same query. It reads the current state of affairs but doesn’t show you the final outcome.

That’s life as well. We may never see the whole picture until it’s time to experience it.

That’s my message from spirit today.

I was nudged by a friend of mine who posted a picture of some tarot cards to research them. They were black and white and had the archetype tarot images on them. I have a curious mind. I’ve always been that way. I have a desire to know it’s history and how they came to be. I’m like that with people as well. I want to know all about them- what makes them tick, their life experiences etc. (Of course, some people are private and don’t want to share themselves. I respect their boundaries.) I digress though.

I posted an image on these cars above. They are part of the Builders of The Adytum (B.O.A.T.) tarot deck. They were created by Paul Foster Case ( 10/3/1884- 3/2/ 54) They were adapted loosely from the Rider-Waite deck which is the most common and best known tarot decks used by readers.

Case created the B.O.A.T. which is a religious organization dedicated to spiritual attunement through study, practice and meditation.

Case adamantly believed that each student needed to color his or her own deck and refused to issue a colored deck.

So, there it is. The more you know….

I started putting the cards away from the previous reading and looked at the card that was on the bottom of deck. This card is usually what we can’t see but need to know to top off our reading.

The card is: Hierophant- Spiritual Pracetice.
It’s message is: When this card appears, it reminds me to be connected to my spiritual practice to ensure a conscious contact to my Higher Power. Rituals are in my highest good at this time.

Insight: I started out yesterday with a re-surge of my psychic senses. I sometimes lose sight of this or put it off. I must remind myself to make time everyday for my spiritual practice. It’s important and it makes me feel accomplished.

Insights: It’s important to use our intuition when moving forward this month. Shift the energy from negative to positive in all collective things and activities including your own thoughts and beliefs. Now is the time to use self restraint and discipline. You will be amazed at how much self control you do have. Things are changing. Accept that and go with the flow. New beginnings and new things/ energy is coming forth. Be creative and keep the good energy flowing and going as we move ahead.
