This morning, like some mornings, I woke up with a tune in my head. It was “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. If I don’t stop to ponder, a song will play on repeatedly in my head until I pay attention. Now, I love this tune so it wasn’t hard for me to take the time to listen to it. Afterwards, I looked up the lyrics and these particular ones resonated with me.

Upon thinking about the meaning, I thought of the Two of Swords tarot card.

Meaning- Conflicting ideas and opinions. These must be reconciled by communication in order to arrive to a harmonious place.

Notes from Me: This makes me think of the state of our country. Right now, it is so divided but we must put in the work to listen to each other, understand the other’s point of view and communicate our ideas/ ideals in a rational, non-judgemental way so that we can bridge that gap and come together as a nation.

It’s always fascinating to me to think of the myriad of ways to receive messages from Spirit. Music/ music lyrics are one way that is all too familiar to me. Sometime, it’s just the melody that brings on a mood or sensation but I’ve always been a word person so I always look at the lyrics to find the message.

Hope music is part of your life as well.

Notes from Me: I know we are living in very precarious and tough times. It’s hard to find the silver lining and the good things that we do have in life. This card isn’t talking about material things. It’s talking about your many strengths whether it be patience, compassion, general faith, understanding, endurance, laughter, love from family, significant other, friends, neighbors or just a person that your run into throughout your day travels. Each person can bring a positive effect to your day. Be grateful for all the good you have in your life and let it continue. As you focus on the good and are thankful for that, that energy just flows.

First card- The Underworld- Where all things pause and begin again

You are being asked to consider exactly what you have to do to transform your life into something easier or more authentic to you. This may involve changing course. It may involve trials and tests. Keep moving.

Clear space for new things to come into your life.

Second Card- Skull of Darkness- Blind Spots

The beautiful and mysterious Skull of Darkness encourages us to look to the parts of ourselves that normally remains hidden or as unseen as possible.

Peace and pattern changing can be achieved by doing the work in uncovering our blind spots or even consulting trusted friends or professionals to assist us to see what we cannot.

Third Card- Vampire- Emotional Intelligence

You may be drained emotionally and this is the time to set stronger boundaries. You need to be aware of what gives energy to our lives and what takes it away. Developing the emotional intelligence in ourselves helps us defend against the kind of emotional and “psychic” attack and enables us to foster healthy equal relationships of all kinds.

Notes from Me: Now is the time- right now- for some necessary soul searching and transformation in our lives.

Message: As the veil lifts at Samhain, know that other worlds are close. Listen in particular to what messages may come forth around your future. Look to what you want to happen- plan set intentions, think big.

Notes from Me: It’s fascinating that when I set my intention before I pulled a card, I asked Spirit as it comes close to the veil thinning, what message does it have for us. Well, out comes this card so yeah. There are two times a year where the veil thins- on Halloween called Samhain and in May called Beltaine. Pay close attention and be ready for any messages coming your way. It’s also a great time to get in touch with any spirit that has passed on if you wish to communicate with them. Now is the time when the veil thins.

Last night, I had a dream that I was in this sort of Health club with a bunch of people. Some of them, I didn’t recognize but one person was a current Phillies player, Scott Kingery. Crazy huh? So, why am I posting this in my Tarot Blog. Well, during the course of the discourse I had between people in my dream, someone started talking about the Everyday Witch Tarot Deck. I have never heard of this but my dream made certain that I remember it upon waking. In the morning, I looked up this and , sure enough, there is a deck by this name along with an oracle deck as well. I’ve been drawn to witches lately. I want to learn more about them and their magic. What better way than to read some tarot and oracle with witches in them? So, you guessed it, I bought both the oracle and tarot deck. Can’t wait to play with them! I’ll be posting.

In conclusion, I never miss my messages from my dreams and heed them. It’s one way for us to get in touch with our higher mind.

Card- Trick Or Treat- Mischief and Play

Stalking and Stomping

Eyes shining and begging baskets

Faces and bodies

That are no longer ours

Laughing, skeletons and candy caskets

It may well be a time to examine the role of play and mischief in our life. You don’t need to be a child to let go and have some playtime and you can extend the fun with others. Play is one way to alleviate the pressure that we sometimes place on ourselves to get everything perfect every time. Alternatively, it’s worth knowing that there is a balance between manipulation and mischief- the former is not pleasant and the other has at it’s core . a sense of irreverent fun.

If only just for today, lighten up and have some fun. We need to release the pressure cooker we’re living in right now. Enjoy!

You are being asked to look to what your idea of home and family is for you. Take the time to build up you ” love ” fire and have it burning brightly. Make your relationships a priority . If there is conflict within your home and family, it is time to make concrete steps to address the issue for good. If you or a member of your family is away from home due to work or travel, know that protection is being given.

Home is where we hang our hats and our place to find comfort and peace. Wherever you’re home may be, always strife for peace and harmony so that all are comfortable and warm under it’s roof.

Message: Know that you are protected. and that you are capable of creating the life that you want and that the universe supports you in this should the Jack light shine upon you. Boundaries are important to teach people how to treat us and by drawing this card indicates that you may wish to renew the ones you have or create new one.

I had a beautiful mediation with the angels this morning. These are the visions that they presented to me.

Lavender glow- Symbol of purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace and calmness. ( It also happens to be one of my favorite colors.)

• 

Field of white flowers- Symbolizes reverence, purity and innocense.

• 

Seagull- Symbolizes a lighthearted attitude. Brings with it calmness, is easygoing, adaptable, and resourcefulness.

• 

Dragon in the clouds- Clouds, to me, symbolize wistfulness, elevation and seeing things from a higher perspective. Dragons symbolize primordial power, mastering all elements, and is a powerful ally with it’s restorative and potent qualities. Dragons represent change, transformation and wisdom.

At the end of the meditation, along came Archangel Michael standing guard calmly and serenely. Archangel Michael is also protective and shielding. He says to me ” I have you. All is well under my protections.”

So it is.

Expect magic to happen. Luck is on your side.

Notes from Me: I’ve always loved the word serendipity. It just has a rhythm of it’s own. It just flows. I could use some in my life. I’ve been feeling so stuck and in a big rut. It’s time I open to it. Let magic commence.
